A late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical working on cancer had landed in Dallas.

Another public California company has moved to Texas.
CG Oncology, a late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical firm, relocated its headquarters to Dallas from its location in Irvine, a city in Orange County. The move was effective earlier this year, according to Sarah Connors, vice president, communications and patient advocacy at the firm.
The new North Texas headquarters landed at Dallas’ Pegasus Park, a roughly 26-acre campus that aims to support innovation and entrepreneurship in the life sciences.
With the move, CG Oncology, focused on addressing challenges with bladder cancer, gets enhanced access to talent, investors and strategic partners and a more central spot in the U.S., according to Connors. In addition, the move provides modern facilities designed to encourage collaboration and innovation along with infrastructure and cost advantages.
It also offers “proximity to leading research institutions,” with UT Southwestern Medical Center and University of Texas at Dallas, Connors said.
“Dallas provides CG Oncology with a strategic home within one of the nation’s fastest-growing life sciences ecosystems,” Connors said. “Pegasus Park’s unique combination of research institutions, healthcare innovation, talent and connectivity supports our long-term vision while remaining consistent with our remote-first culture.”
The company, which is traded on the Nasdaq, has been attracting investor interest, grabbing a recent market valuation of about $7 billion. Shares have roughly tripled in the past year.
The Dallas area has drawn corporate relocations from around the country, including California, as executives tap into the growing population and a reputation for a business-friendly environment. A more recent example was Public Storage, which gives folks extra room for stowing away their items, as it shifted its headquarters from Glendale, Calif., to Frisco. Other names have included Kelly-Moore Paints, Schwab and CBRE.
The CG Oncology Dallas headquarters supports corporate and administrative functions, cross-functional collaboration and company meetings, leadership and business operations and employee gatherings and events, according to Connors.
CG Oncology also has accessed nearby BioLabs space on the Pegasus Park campus during the office buildout.
“As we continue to grow, Dallas positions us well to foster collaboration, attract talent and advance our mission of improving outcomes for patients with bladder cancer,” Connors said.
