Mr. Herren will lead MSP’s development platform across its build-to-rent and multifamily strategies, overseeing land sourcing, underwriting, entitlements, and the execution of new development opportunities from acquisition through lease-up. Mr. Herren joins MSP Residential from Kennedy Wilson, where he served as Managing Director of Multifamily Development. There, he established the firm’s multifamily development platform and expanded its pipeline, leading land sourcing, underwriting, entitlement, and oversight of new multifamily developments from concept through delivery. Earlier in his career, Herren served as Chief Investment Officer and Executive Vice President of Williams Homes, where he assembled a land pipeline across Los Angeles and Ventura Counties and guided properties through entitlement and permitting. During his tenure, the firm delivered more than 1,000 homes and controlled an additional 800 lots for future development. Herren also previously served as West Coast Development Partner at Hanover Company and as Vice President of Development at Newhall Land & Farming.
Mr. Herren holds a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California and studied architecture at the Kansas State University College of Architecture and Design.
